so traveling with 5 kids isn't exactly easy, but it workedthis is Emily's way of traveling...side note story, on our way to Alabama my friend Shelly helped me with the kids. we had to run in Cincinnati and halfway through the airport Emily laid down and looked up at Shelly and said "I'm done running". so Shelly picked her up and kept on (mind you she already had one of the twins in a front pack). What a superhero, and we all felt like one after conquering this adventure!

Ode to Sparky.....Sparky was our beloved family pet for almost 3 years. After a tragic encounter with a neighborhood Great Dane, Sparky made his final residence with Grandpa Backes in heaven. We will miss you, Sparky!

Emsky turned 3!! We're a little late on the post, but I've been working a lot lately. Anyway, Em had a great Bday and we had the pleasure of having the Crowsons with us. I can't believe she's so big!
