Phil Backes August 18, 1939 - August 8, 2008
My father was a compassionate, caring man who I always looked up to. These pictures were of him the last week I was able to spend with him. I miss him so much still, but thought it would be nice to share some fun pictures of him. I love you Dad.

He looks so great, I'm still stunned by how quick he went. I wish I were closer to give you a hug.
I am so glad that you got these pics. I am sure your dad was very thankful to have you as a daughter, and so thankful for the beautiful grand-babies you gave/give him. I'm sure he will be watching over all of you, smiling, because of your desire to live so righteously. You will see him again! I'm so thankful that we have that knowledge.
